Senior Design Engineer - Heavy Industrial Equipment

We’re hiring a Senior Design Engineer to lead new product development and design improvements for custom heavy industrial machinery. This role combines hands-on design work with team leadership, overseeing junior engineers and drafters.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design efforts for new and existing machinery.

  • Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.

  • Perform FEA to ensure structural integrity and optimize designs.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet performance and manufacturability targets.

  • Review and approve technical documentation and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

  • BSME required.

  • 8+ years in machinery design, ideally in heavy industrial applications.

  • Proficient with 3D CAD and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation).

  • Experience leading small engineering teams.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing methods.
