Senior Design Engineer - Heavy Industrial Equipment
We’re hiring a Senior Design Engineer to lead new product development and design improvements for custom heavy industrial machinery. This role combines hands-on design work with team leadership, overseeing junior engineers and drafters.
Responsibilities:
Lead design efforts for new and existing machinery.
Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks, Inventor, or Creo.
Perform FEA to ensure structural integrity and optimize designs.
Collaborate cross-functionally to meet performance and manufacturability targets.
Review and approve technical documentation and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
BSME required.
8+ years in machinery design, ideally in heavy industrial applications.
Proficient with 3D CAD and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation).
Experience leading small engineering teams.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing methods.
