Job Description

A full-service progressive CPA firm is currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with 6-10 years of experience in Public Accounting to join their team. The right candidate will lead tax and accounting engagements for privately held businesses, non-profit organizations and work closely with clients to be their primary point of contact. Other responsibilities include:

Analyze annual trial balances including account reconciliations with year-end journal entries

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate and partnership federal and state income tax returns
  • Complete complex federal and state tax research culminating in summaries and recommendations for presentation
  • Remain abreast of changing tax laws & policies
  • Provide year-end individual and business planning services
  • Develop & cultivate professional client relationships
  • Assist with staff development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA license preferred
  • 6-10 years of current tax experience in a public accounting setting
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service, presentation and PC skills including accounting software proficiency (QuickBooks and CCH tax software proficiency is a plus)
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet goals & deadlines and develop professional relationships with clients and all levels of staff
  • Prior multi-state/multi-entity experience is a plus
