Job Description

A well-established, precision-focused ag business in Central Pennsylvania is seeking a hands-on, knowledgeable Agronomy Services Lead to drive agronomic strategy, deliver in-field solutions, and support growers with practical, science-based crop management recommendations. This role blends agronomic consulting with leadership responsibilities and serves as the go-to expert for both internal teams and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with growers across the region

  • Provide tailored agronomic recommendations on crop inputs, nutrient management, pest control, and application timing

  • Oversee scouting, sampling, and agronomic data interpretation to drive sound field decisions

  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely, accurate crop input applications

  • Guide product selection and seasonal crop planning focused on ROI and sustainability

  • Stay current on agronomic trends, technologies, and region-specific challenges

  • Mentor and support junior agronomy staff and seasonal team members

  • Assist with sales efforts and identify new opportunities for service growth

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Crop & Soil Science, or related field

  • 3+ years of hands-on agronomy or crop consulting experience; Mid-Atlantic background preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of corn, soybean, and small grain production

  • Experience with crop input products including fertilizer, seed, and crop protection

  • Proficient in interpreting soil and tissue tests and utilizing precision ag tools

  • Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

  • CDL and/or Pennsylvania pesticide license a plus
