Position Overview: As a Project Surveyor, you will lead survey projects from start to finish, overseeing field crews, CAD technicians, and client interactions. You will be responsible for delivering quality survey services that comply with state and local regulations, managing budgets and schedules, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage survey projects including ALTA, boundary, topographic, platting, and as-built surveys
Supervise and support survey crews and CAD staff
Stamp and sign surveys prepared under your direct supervision
Conduct site visits and ensure accuracy and compliance of field work
Prepare proposals and assist with invoicing and project accounting
Negotiate project scopes and budgets
Attend client meetings and public hearings as needed
Support professional development and conduct performance reviews for team members
Qualifications:
Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Tennessee (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or equivalent experience
8+ years of relevant surveying experience
Supervisory or project management experience preferred (1–3 years)
Proficient in AutoCAD; drone and LIDAR experience a plus
Strong communication and leadership skills
Valid driver’s license
Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
