Graduate Engineer - Water
A leading multidiscipline engineering firm with a strong history of success is seeking a Graduate Engineer to join their Water Resources team. Responsibilities:
- Provide civil engineering services for clients by providing planning, design, specifications, plans, reports, construction observation, and project management.
- Communicate frequently with supervisors and project managers on a consistent basis by providing updates and progress during all phases of projects.
- Attend company meetings, project meetings, and client meetings on a regular basis.
- This position will require a limited role initially in preparing proposals and participating in interviews for securing work for the firm. Responsibilities for business development will increase with experience and mentorship by senior staff.
- Expect to take on and understand the role of project engineer and the owner’s on-site representative on construction projects.
- Assist with the development of project plans and specifications.
Education/Experience:
- B.S in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Engineer in Training (EIT), or ability to obtain certification within 1 year.
- 0-5 years of civil engineering experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible working style to accommodate or modify personal schedule as required to meet deadlines and/or client needs.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D and MicroStation/GeoPak design software preferred.
- Experience in collection system and/or distribution system design, pump station design, sizing and selecting equipment, evaluating treatment alternatives, performing process calculations, preparing process and civil design drawings, and preparing cost opingions is a plus.
- Knowledge or experiene with water distribution or collection system modeling software is a plus.
