Job Description

A national leader in the industrial/commercial construction industry is seeking Traveling Project Engineers interested in expanding their expertise into the Data Center market. These roles will support large-scale projects across the country—typically valued at $20 million and above—while working alongside some of the most experienced project teams in the industry.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with solid commercial construction experience who’s eager to grow into high-tech, mission-critical work. The right candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for learning.

This position includes a comprehensive total rewards package featuring a vehicle allowance, flexible travel package, per diem based on project location, gas card, tablet, and cell phone.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents in all phases of construction
  • Assist in managing budgets, schedules, submittals, and RFIs
  • Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Review drawings, specifications, and change orders
  • Track and document project progress and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in meetings with owners and field leadership
  • Learn and assist with data center-specific systems and processes

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in commercial construction
  • Experience supporting projects valued at $20 million or more
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel nationwide as needed
  • Desire to gain experience in data center or mission-critical construction

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling software
  • Interest in long-term career growth into Project Management
