Superintendent – Commercial Construction

Seeking an experienced Superintendent to join a leading General Contractor and lead high profile healthcare construction projects in the Charleston area. This is an opportunity to work with one of the most respected builders in the Southeast—known for their commitment to quality, safety, and delivering complex projects on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record overseeing ground-up and/or renovation projects in the healthcare sector, with a strong understanding of the unique requirements, regulations, and coordination needed in active medical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, safety, and quality goals.
  • Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Lead daily site meetings and ensure accurate project documentation.
  • Resolve field conflicts quickly and effectively to avoid delays.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
  • Healthcare construction experience required (hospital, medical office building, surgical center, or related).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare facility regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction scheduling and project management software.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
