Project Manager | Commercial Construction
One of the region’s most respected General Contractors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This award-winning, financially strong firm has built a longstanding reputation for excellence, collaboration, and delivering high-quality commercial projects.
The Project Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership and ensuring successful execution of commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role requires a proactive leader who values communication, drives accountability, and builds strong relationships with clients and teams alike.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Estimating during preconstruction to develop accurate scopes and budgets • Read, interpret, and apply construction plans and specifications • Provide mentorship and guidance to developing Project Management staff • Foster long-term relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to support ongoing business growth • Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement including scope review, contract development, and compliance requirements • Resolve design conflicts through effective research, coordination, and problem solving • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, billings, reporting, and other project controls • Ensure accurate monthly billings and work-in-place quantities • Prepare monthly cost projections and forecasts for successful financial outcomes • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules to track progress and performance
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field preferred • 5+ years of commercial/light industrial project management experience • Strong technical understanding of building systems and construction methods • Proven ability to manage project financials, schedules, and operations independently
