Position Summary

The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on stainless steel components and assemblies according to blueprints and specifications. This individual will perform TIG and MIG welding (and occasionally robotic welding) on 303 and 304 stainless steel parts used in precision manufacturing applications.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fabrication processes and at least 5 years of professional welding experience in a production or custom-manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create quality welds according to blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Inspect and verify weld accuracy and structural integrity
  • Prepare materials for welding by grinding, drilling, tapping, and setting up jigs
  • Operate forklifts and production equipment safely (training provided as needed)
  • Perform maintenance such as changing wire or gas tanks as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Cross-train to assist in other areas of the shop as production needs arise

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of welding and 1 year fabrication experience
  • Proficient in TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and precision measurements
  • Vocational or technical training in welding preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and workplace safety

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven individual, ability to work with minimal direction
