Litigation Attorney – Hybrid/Remote (San Francisco or Santa Monica, CA)

A mission-driven, multi-office law firm is seeking a litigation attorney with 2–10 years of experience to join its team in San Francisco or Santa Monica. This role offers a hybrid or remote work arrangement, with occasional travel throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense, habitability, real estate litigation, and/or personal injury defense. A strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, and commitment to client service are essential. Responsibilities

  • Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Draft legal pleadings, correspondence, and memoranda
  • Appear in court and argue motions
  • Work directly with clients and partners to develop case strategy
  • Collaborate with legal support staff to manage cases efficiently

Qualifications

  • 2–10 years of litigation experience (insurance defense, habitability, real estate, or personal injury preferred)
  • Active California Bar membership
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to handle a full caseload and meet billable expectations (1970 hours annually)
  • Team-oriented mindset and professionalism
