Job Description

We are seeking a Plant Manager in our RTE food manufacturing plant directs and manages all plant operations including production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring that company standards are achieved with an emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure, and training for employees at the plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • All aspects of plant management to assure cost effective, timely and efficient production and coordinate distribution of consistently high-quality products.
  • Manages plant costs regarding facilities and employees with headquarter office.
  • Work with a full operation management structure including maintenance, quality assurance, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resources.
  • Leads staffing by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring and developing steps of the process by setting processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staff.
  • Setting productions shifts accomplishing product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in food packaging plant – mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience managing in a USDA and/or FDA food, meat and packaging manufacturer facility.
  • HACCP certification a plus.
  • Food safety knowledge.
  • True team player with a positive and cooperative attitude. “No job too small mantra.”
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
