Job Description

Safety officer – commercial drywall

A growing commercial drywall company looking to add a full-time safety officer to our team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a safe work environment on all job sites, supporting both field teams and management to ensure that every project is delivered with safety as the top priority.

Responsibilities:

  • develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures across all commercial drywall projects

  • conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions

  • lead safety trainings, toolbox talks, and orientations for new and existing employees

  • ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations

  • investigate incidents, document findings, and implement preventative measures

  • collaborate with project managers and foremen to maintain a strong culture of safety across all levels of the company

Qualifications:

  • experience in safety management within commercial construction; drywall or interiors background strongly preferred

  • osha certification or equivalent training in occupational health and safety

  • strong knowledge of industry safety regulations and best practices

  • excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and engage teams of all sizes

  • organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance field inspections with reporting and compliance tasks
