Safety officer – commercial drywall
A growing commercial drywall company looking to add a full-time safety officer to our team. This position plays an essential role in maintaining a safe work environment on all job sites, supporting both field teams and management to ensure that every project is delivered with safety as the top priority.
Responsibilities:
develop, implement, and enforce company safety policies and procedures across all commercial drywall projects
conduct regular site inspections and safety audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions
lead safety trainings, toolbox talks, and orientations for new and existing employees
ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
investigate incidents, document findings, and implement preventative measures
collaborate with project managers and foremen to maintain a strong culture of safety across all levels of the company
Qualifications:
experience in safety management within commercial construction; drywall or interiors background strongly preferred
osha certification or equivalent training in occupational health and safety
strong knowledge of industry safety regulations and best practices
excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and engage teams of all sizes
organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance field inspections with reporting and compliance tasks
