Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and experienced Traveling Project Manager to oversee structural steel erection projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience specifically managing steel erection projects and be comfortable with a 50/50 split between travel and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage structural steel erection projects from pre-construction through completion

  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, clients, and vendors

  • Monitor safety compliance, project schedules, and budgets

  • Conduct site visits (up to 50% travel) and manage field operations as needed

  • Resolve project issues, delays, and scope changes

  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and produce regular progress reports

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of project management experience in structural steel erection

  • Ability to travel up to 50% for site supervision and coordination

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong understanding of erection plans, schedules, and safety protocols

  • Proficiency in project management tools and reporting software

Work Environment:

  • 50% travel to active job sites (nationwide)

  • 50% remote work from home when not traveling
