Welding Supervisor (2nd Shift, 2PM–10PM) | Stable, Growth-Minded Manufacturer
Take charge of a skilled weld bay on 2nd shift. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, quality, throughput, and developing people in a shop that invests in modern equipment, promotes from within, and has a strong industry legacy.
What You’ll Do
Lead daily weld bay operations: safety, quality, on-time delivery
Plan work, assign labor, and optimize workflow/fixtures across large tables
Coach, train, and upskill welders; set clear expectations and provide feedback
Monitor consumables/inventory and coordinate with scheduling & maintenance
Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement (5S, Kaizen, Lean)
Support hiring, onboarding, attendance, and performance management
What You’ll Bring
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing welding environment
Proficiency with hardwire, flux-core, and sub-arc processes
Strong print reading; comfortable with large weldments and fit-up
Organized, calm under pressure, and committed to safety & quality
Bonus: AWS standards knowledge, basic GD&T, Lean/Six Sigma exposure
