Job Title: Miscellaneous Metals Drafter
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a skilled Miscellaneous Metals Drafter with hands-on experience using SDS/2 to produce detailed shop drawings for a variety of steel components. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience drafting and detailing miscellaneous steel projects, including stairs (switchback, standard, monumental), railings, and handrails.
Create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings in SDS/2 for fabrication and installation
Detail stairs, railings, handrails, embeds, and other miscellaneous metals components
Review project specifications, architectural/structural drawings, and design intent
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
Ensure drawings meet industry standards and project requirements
Revise drawings based on markups and design changes
3+ years of experience in miscellaneous steel drafting/detailing
Proficient with SDS/2
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
