Position Overview:
The firm is seeking an experienced and driven Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join their team. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability claims. The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys while taking an active role in litigation strategy and case management.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in all phases of insurance defense litigation
Draft and analyze pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex legal issues
Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
Negotiate settlements and manage case files effectively
Maintain clear, timely communication with clients
Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active California Bar license
Minimum 3 years of insurance defense or related litigation experience (preferred)
Strong litigation and case management skills
Excellent written and oral communication abilities
Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strategic thinker with sound judgment and problem-solving skills
