Mid-to-Senior Civil Engineer – Land Development

Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of land development projects across multiple jurisdictions
Serve as the technical expert and mentor within the engineering team
Manage client communication, permitting processes, and agency coordination
Prepare detailed site and subdivision plans for commercial, residential, and industrial developments, including:
Stormwater management and storm sewer systems
Sanitary sewer and water distribution design
Roadway layout and ADA-compliant grading
Erosion & sediment control planning
Guide projects through entitlement, bonding, and permitting stages
Participate in rezoning efforts, preliminary plats, and infill lot grading
Represent the firm in client meetings and occasional public hearings
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE preferred)
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D required
Experience with HEC-RAS, StormCAD, WaterCAD, or similar software
Strong communication and project management skills
Knowledge of Charles County and Prince George’s County land development processes preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead technical teams
