A well-established heavy civil construction firm based in Northeast Ohio is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President to join its executive leadership team. This is a confidential search for a key leadership role within a respected organization known for its long-standing commitment to infrastructure, site development, and public works projects across the region.
Position Summary:
As Vice President, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision, overseeing operational performance, and ensuring continued growth. This executive will work closely with ownership and senior leadership to drive innovation, foster internal development, and maintain the company’s legacy of quality and safety on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide executive leadership across all divisions, with a focus on heavy civil construction operations.
Oversee project execution, financial performance, and client relations.
Lead strategic planning and implement process improvements for scalability and efficiency.
Mentor senior project managers and department leaders.
Represent the company in high-level client, partner, and community interactions.
Preferred Experience:
Extensive knowledge of ODOT requirements and processes.
Strong track record managing bridge construction and wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects is also preferred
Familiarity with public and municipal bidding, compliance, and coordination.
Qualifications:
15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
Proven background in heavy civil, site development, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage P&L.
Excellent leadership, team development, and communication skills.
Ohio market experience strongly preferred.
