📍 Location: Norfolk or Richmond, VA (100% In-Office)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          💰 $90,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience)

About the Opportunity:
A respected, trial-focused defense firm is actively seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join its General Liability practice group in either its Norfolk VA or Richmond VA office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly licensed attorney or recent law school graduate who is eager to gain hands-on courtroom experience and develop as a litigator in a supportive and high-performance environment.

We’re looking for a driven Junior Associate to support a busy General Liability team handling high-stakes cases in:

Key Practice Areas:

• Insurance Defense
• General Liability Defense
• Civil Litigation
• Commercial Litigation
• Workers’ Compensation

What You’ll Do:
✔ Support attorneys in all stages of litigation, from pleadings through trial
✔ Handle matters involving general liability, insurance defense, and commercial disputes
✔ Attend hearings, assist with trial preparation, and develop strong advocacy skills
✔ Collaborate in a team-focused, open-door culture

What We’re Looking For:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• 0–1 year of litigation experience (internships & clerkships welcome)
• Must be licensed in VA or sitting for the VA bar
• Strong interest in trial work — must enjoy litigation
• Candidates with plaintiff-side experience are welcome, but must know how to bill or have some defense background
• Must be willing to work on-site full-time in Norfolk or Richmond
