About:
A reputable law firm is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal with over five years of professional experience in business law, litigation, estate planning, and estate administration. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing a diverse range of legal tasks to support our attorneys and serve their clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with business law matters including entity formation, corporate governance, and transactional work.
- Support litigation processes, including case file management, discovery, pleadings, and trial preparation.
- Prepare and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Handle estate administration tasks, including probate proceedings, estate inventory, and estate settlement.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain organized case files, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with court procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other stakeholders.
- Support attorneys in drafting, editing, and analyzing legal documents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of paralegal experience, preferably in business, litigation, estate planning, and estate administration.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, courtroom etiquette, and filing requirements.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes:
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
- Previous experience working with a variety of clients and legal matters.
