Position Overview: The Civil Estimator will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for site development, utility, roadway, and earthwork projects. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, a strong understanding of civil construction methods, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project scope
Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing using estimating software
Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Participate in bid reviews and assist in developing proposals
Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment with scope and budget
Maintain and update cost databases, vendor contacts, and bid history
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in civil construction estimating (site development, utilities, earthwork, etc.)
Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of construction documents, codes, and industry standards
Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
Strong communication and collaboration skills
