A reputable Pittsburgh law firm is seeking a Special Education Associate Attorney to join its Education Law practice group. This is an opportunity to work closely with public school districts on high-impact legal issues while advancing your legal career in a collaborative, in-person environment.
What You’ll Do:
You’ll represent and advise public school clients in areas such as:
Special Education Law (IDEA, Section 504) – minimum 3 years of direct experience required
Student Rights, Policies & Discipline
School Employment & Labor Law
Collective Bargaining & Contract Negotiations
Construction & Facilities Planning
Governance & Policy for School Boards
Financial Solutions for School Districts
Ideal Candidate:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license to practice in Pennsylvania
3–5 years of experience in education or public sector law
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Special Education law
Excellent writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
Team player with a proactive, client-focused mindset
Compensation & Bonus Structure:
Base salary: $95,000–$110,000 (salary can grow quickly based on performance)
