Job Title: Business Development Representative – Cabinetry Sales & Design
Position Summary:
We are seeking a charismatic, driven, and design-savvy Business Development Representative to grow and support our cabinetry division. The ideal candidate combines a passion for interior design with a strong sales acumen and extensive knowledge of cabinetry products, finishes, and construction processes. This role will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with builders, remodelers, designers, and architects while driving new project opportunities from concept to close.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across residential and light commercial cabinetry markets.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including builders, designers, remodelers, and contractors.
Leverage design knowledge and software tools (2020 Design, AutoCAD) to present tailored cabinetry solutions for kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home projects.
Conduct in-person client meetings, jobsite visits, field measures, and product demonstrations to guide clients through the design/sales process.
Create compelling proposals and project quotes that align with customer vision, needs, and budgets.
Collaborate with internal departments—purchasing, credit, logistics, and installation teams—to ensure project success from sale to delivery.
Monitor construction schedules and coordinate project timelines to meet deadlines and maintain customer satisfaction.
Participate in local industry events, home shows, and trade expos to promote company offerings and build your personal network.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM systems (e.g., D365).
Stay current on industry trends, cabinetry innovations, and competitor offerings through regular professional development and market research.
Ideal Background & Skills:
5+ years of experience in cabinetry design and/or outside sales within the interior construction or building materials industry.
Strong portfolio of successfully closed cabinetry projects and a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Deep understanding of cabinetry materials, finishes, hardware, and installation methods.
Proficient in 2020 Design, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently lead product demos and client meetings.
Skilled in lead generation, consultative selling, and project management.
Proven ability to build long-term relationships and foster repeat business.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating across departments.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
