Job Summary:

A local community bank is looking for the right Loan Operations Analyst to support the bank’s lending department by performing a wide range of operational and analytical tasks related to loan processing, documentation, data entry, and reporting. This role ensures the integrity of loan data, compliance with regulatory requirements, and smooth execution of back-office loan operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate booking of loans into the core banking system.
  • Monitor loan servicing activities, including payments, payoffs, rate changes, and collateral management.
  • Perform quality control checks on newly boarded and existing loans.
  • Assist with audits and examinations by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Reconcile loan general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate, maintain, and distribute operational reports to support the lending and credit teams.
  • Support special projects related to system upgrades, process improvements, and policy updates.
  • Serve as a liaison between loan officers, credit analysts, compliance, and other internal departments.
  • Experience in Post Loan Closing Review is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years in banking or financial services, with specific experience in loan operations or documentation preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), loan servicing platforms, and core banking systems (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry, or similar).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with lending regulations, loan documentation standards, and loan life cycle processes.
  • Attributes: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional overtime during month-end or quarter-end reporting periods.
