gpac is working with a growing food manufacturer that is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their team in western Kentucky.

In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational and production data to help improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, food safety, and supply chain performance. Your insights will support data-driven decision-making across production, quality assurance, logistics, and procurement functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze manufacturing and production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor key operational KPIs, including yield, throughput, waste, downtime, and labor productivity.
- Develop dashboards and reports to visualize performance metrics for cross-functional teams, enabling them to make informed decisions.
- Work closely with plant managers, QA, supply chain, and procurement to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Support forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization through data modeling.
- Identify and investigate anomalies or quality issues using statistical analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES, SCADA).
- Assist in automating data collection and reporting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role, preferably in food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing.
- Strong skills in SQL and data tools such as Excel, Python, or R.
- Experience with ERP and manufacturing data systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSMA), and continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
