Project Engineer – Transportation

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA, Des Moines, IA, Baraboo, WI, Appleton, WI, Marshfield, WI, Rhinelander, WI, Madison, WI, Milwaukee, WI

Type: Full‑Time

Role Overview: Lead engineering projects focused on transportation infrastructure—roads, bridges, trails—from planning through execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project lifecycle: planning, scoping, budgeting, and quality assurance/control

  • Design transportation infrastructure (roadways, bridges, trails)

  • Produce detailed plans, specifications, bidding documents, technical reports, and regulatory permitting packages

  • Prepare public engagement materials and support community presentations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 4 years of transportation or mobility engineering experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) 

  • Demonstrated client liaison and project management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship provided)

Salary Range: $79,081 – $126,529
