Position: Litigation Attorney – Real Estate & Land Use Focus Location: Burlington, Vermont (Primarily Onsite – Some Remote Considered) Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Experience Level: 2+ Years of Civil or Land Use Litigation Experience

About the Role: Law Firm in Burlington, VT, is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join one of Vermont’s premier firms focused on real estate, land use, commercial litigation, and transactions.

Since 2004, the firm has represented landowners, developers, financial institutions, municipalities, and community groups. With a reputation for handling complex matters efficiently and creatively, the firm continues to expand its civil and land use litigation practice.

This is a strong opportunity for an attorney looking for long-term growth, team collaboration, and a practice that values quality of life alongside high-caliber work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of civil and land use litigation

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on zoning, Act 250, and permitting matters

  • Represent clients in litigation related to real estate and commercial disputes

  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, and participate in hearings and negotiations

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school

  • At least 2 years of civil litigation or land use litigation experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Licensed to practice in Vermont or eligible for admission

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Schedule:

  • Full-time

  • 8-hour shift

  • Primarily onsite in Burlington, VT (some remote work considered)

Relocation:
