We’re seeking a Truss Designer with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in residential and commercial construction projects. This is a full-time, on-site position with a well-established company that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and quality. As a Truss Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating precise Truss Placement Plans and Design Drawings, while working closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure seamless execution.

🛠️ Responsibilities:
Produce accurate and complete Truss Design Drawings and Truss Placement Plans using MiTek, CAD, and other design software
Design roof and floor trusses that meet building codes, safety requirements, and project specifications
Interpret architectural and structural drawings, identify potential issues, and provide solutions
Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams throughout the design process
Assist with field issue coordination, repair designs, and support to superintendents and construction managers
Stay informed on building materials, code updates, and industry trends to ensure high-quality truss design
✅ Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Truss Designer in the construction or building materials industry
Proficiency with MiTek software is required
Strong understanding of construction practices and engineered wood products
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
High School Diploma or GED required (technical training a plus)
