Job Description

Compactor/Baler Technician Join a Leading Team in Industrial Recycling Equipment Service

We’re looking for a skilled and self-motivated Compactor/Baler Technician to join our growing field service team. If you’re mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and enjoy solving hands-on technical problems, this role is for you.

As a Compactor/Baler Technician, you’ll be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of compactors, balers, and other industrial recycling equipment at customer sites. You'll be the face of our company—delivering exceptional service, ensuring equipment runs efficiently, and providing on-site technical support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Travel to customer locations to perform equipment diagnostics, repairs, and installations on compactors, balers, and control systems

  • Interpret and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to pinpoint issues and make effective repairs

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life

  • Keep detailed records of service calls, maintenance work, parts used, and equipment status

  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues

  • Provide on-site technical training and support to customers for ongoing equipment care

  • Stay up to date on new technologies and evolving products in the recycling equipment space

  • Represent the company with professionalism, clear communication, and a customer-first mindset

What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams

  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage your own schedule and work independently

  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work in various environments, and travel as needed

  • Willingness to work flexible hours based on customer needs

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive compensation and benefits

  • Independence and ownership of your service territory

  • Work with a company that values safety, reliability, and long-term customer relationships

  • Opportunity to grow your skills in an essential, expanding industry

If you're ready to take your technical expertise on the road and help keep vital recycling systems up and running, we’d love to hear from you.
