Hybrid Litigation Paralegal – Federal & Administrative Law (Sacramento & DC)

About the Opportunity:
A nationally respected regulatory and federal grants law firm is hiring a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join its Washington, DC office in a hybrid capacity. This position supports attorneys in complex federal litigation, administrative proceedings, and government investigations. The paralegal will work closely with experienced attorneys in matters involving federal agencies, including litigation under the Administrative Procedure Act. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in government, health policy, or regulatory compliance.

Hybrid Work Structure:
• 5 days/week on-site for the first 90 days
• 4 days/week on-site after onboarding

Compensation:
• $70,000–$90,000 DOE
• Full-time salaried position with benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Format, cite check, and proofread federal pleadings and filings

  • File court documents via CM/ECF and manage case dockets

  • Conduct legal research and assist in drafting administrative filings

  • Organize exhibits and discovery materials for federal agency appeals

  • Support challenges to agency actions (e.g., HHS Departmental Appeals Board)

  • Assist with e-discovery and document review using litigation support tools

  • Monitor regulatory updates and assist attorneys with legal tracking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate required

  • 2+ years of federal litigation experience

  • Proficiency with CM/ECF, PACER, Microsoft Office

  • Excellent attention to detail and legal formatting

  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle high-volume document production

  • Strong interest in administrative and regulatory law

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with iManage and e-discovery platforms

  • Background in Administrative Procedure Act litigation

  • Prior experience supporting investigations or enforcement actions

  • Law firm experience strongly preferred
