Job Description

A well-established and rapidly growing dairy manufacturer (40+ years in business) is urgently seeking two Quality Assurance Managers to support their expanding operations. Each QA Manager will oversee one of their state-of-the-art facilities located about an hour south of Madison.

This is a hands-on leadership role — perfect for someone who thrives on the production floor, leading by example, mentoring teams, and ensuring the highest levels of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Quality Assurance programs, policies, and compliance initiatives (GMP, HACCP, SSOP, USDA, FDA).

  • Train, mentor, and guide Quality Control Technicians from the floor.

  • Oversee pre-shipment reviews, CCPs, audits (SQF, customer, annual), and validation studies.

  • Direct inspection and sampling activities (temperature, weight checks, product testing).

  • Collaborate with Plant and Sanitation Managers to uphold best practices in facility and equipment maintenance.

  • Provide solutions through analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of QA supervisory/management experience in food manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, USDA/FDA standards, and quality control systems.

  • Experience with audits, CAPA forms, and inventory systems (DSI preferred).

  • PCQI certification and/or food science background preferred.

  • Familiarity with organic, Kosher, and Halal programs a plus.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • Dairy/Cheese Background Preferred
