Job Description

We’re looking for a Lab Pack Chemist to join our environmental services team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe identification, packaging, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, all while maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

What You’ll Do As A Lab Pack Chemist

  • Identify, classify, and segregate hazardous and non-hazardous wastes for proper disposal.

  • Perform lab packing of chemical wastes in compliance with DOT, RCRA, EPA, and OSHA standards.

  • Prepare, package, and label drums, lab packs, and bulk containers for transport.

  • Operate company vehicles to transport hazardous materials to approved facilities (CDL preferred).

  • Accurately complete manifests, labels, and required documentation.

  • Conduct site audits to ensure environmental compliance.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

What We’re Looking For In A Lab Pack Chemist

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Working knowledge of DOT, RCRA, and EPA hazardous waste regulations.

  • CDL Class B with Hazmat endorsement preferred.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

  • $60,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
