Construction Manager – Residential Homebuilding | Ocala, FL

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of home construction within assigned communities — from foundation through final walk-through
  • Manage production schedules to ensure homes are delivered on time and within budget
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and workmanship quality
  • Resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays and maintain construction timelines
  • Ensure all homes are built to company specifications, local codes, and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records including daily reports, schedules, and jobsite documentation
  • Communicate regularly with purchasing, sales, and warranty departments to ensure smooth handoffs and customer satisfaction
  • Build positive relationships with homeowners, trade partners, and internal teams

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in residential construction management (production or semi-custom experience preferre
  • Strong knowledge of all phases of residential building, including scheduling, inspections, and trade coordination
  • Proven ability to manage multiple homes simultaneously in different stages of construction
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices
