gpac (The #1 Recruiting Firm in the Nation) is partnering with a growing defense firm seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its expanding Illinois practice. This is a growth-driven opportunity for a seasoned litigator looking to handle complex matters and play a key role in a developing regional office.


About the Role

This attorney will defend a broad range of civil litigation matters and is expected to have strong trial and arbitration experience. A flexible hybrid schedule is available.


Responsibilities

  • Defend civil litigation claims from inception through resolution
  • Handle cases through trials and arbitrations
  • Manage complex litigation strategy, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys within the practice
  • Maintain strong client communication and case reporting

Preferred Practice Areas

Experience is preferred (but not required) in one or more of the following:

  • Construction litigation
  • Trucking & transportation
  • Products liability
  • Professional liability
  • Motor vehicle negligence
  • Premises liability
  • Commercial litigation

Qualifications

  • IL Bar license (required)
  • 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience
  • Demonstrated experience taking cases through trial and/or arbitration
  • Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment as the primary office
