Non-Equity Partner / Associate Attorney – Los Angeles, San Diego, Irvine, San Francisco, Sacramento   

A distinguished national litigation firm is seeking Non-Equity Partners and Associates to join its California offices. This is a growth position, ideal for attorneys with 2+ years of experience and a strong background in labor & employment or insurance defense litigation. The firm handles complex litigation matters and offers partner track opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex litigation cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct depositions, prepare witnesses, and participate in trials and hearings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Communicate with clients regarding case strategy, status updates, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice areas on multi-jurisdictional matters.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school 
  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.
  • 2–20 years of litigation experience; trial experience strongly preferred.
  • Defense litigation experience preferred, but open to both plaintiff and defense backgrounds.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, client-facing, and courtroom communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high caseloads and complex litigation matters.
  • Non-equity partners do not require a book of business
