Job Description

Business Development: CPA/Cost Segregation

About the Opportunity

A leading Real Estate Company is expanding its Cost Segregation division and seeking a high-performing CPA with a strong sales and business development background to help drive growth nationwide. This is a newly created, high-impact role designed for a subject-matter expert who understands cost segregation and can independently generate business through CPA firms, accounting networks, and real estate investor relationships. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond standard public accounting, leverage their expertise, and play a key role in building and scaling a rapidly growing business line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts focused on CPA firms, accounting practices, and real estate-focused professionals
  • Generate new cost segregation engagements through cold outreach, warm relationships, networking, and strategic partnerships
  • Act as the technical authority and trusted advisor on cost segregation for referral partners
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and refine go-to-market strategies
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and conferences
  • Leverage existing internal infrastructure while helping build a new growth arm of the business
  • Maintain strong relationships with investors, real estate owners, and accounting professionals

Qualifications

  • Active CPA required
  • 5–9+ years of experience in Public Accounting (Manager or Senior Manager level preferred)
  • Proven experience in cost segregation (hands-on knowledge required)
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or revenue generation
  • Ability to work independently and bring in business without extensive oversight
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and scale something new

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000+ (flexible DOE)
    • Flexible compensation structure with room to grow as the division scales
  • Competitive benefits package
