Job Description

About Us

We are a growing aviation company operating across Part 61 flight training, Part 135 charter, and Part 145 maintenance. Our maintenance operation supports a large internal flight school, a dedicated King Air charter fleet, and select outside customers.

Fleet growth is our top priority through 2025 and into 2026, including the addition of multiple King Air aircraft to our certificate. We invest heavily in our people, facilities, and training—and we’re proud of our culture, which values technical excellence, teamwork, and professionalism without ego.

The Role

We are seeking a senior-level aircraft maintenance technician with turboprop expeince to serve as a floor lead / senior technician. This is a hands-on technical role, not a management position.

You’ll spend the majority of your time working on King Air aircraft, with additional support across piston aircraft, hangar operations, and line service as needed.

Typical work split:

  • 60–80% King Air maintenance

  • 20–40% piston aircraft, hangar, and support tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, heavy maintenance, engine changes, hot sections, rigging, and troubleshooting

  • Serve as a technical resource for junior technicians

  • Support Directors of Maintenance with maintenance documentation and work orders

  • Ensure compliance with Part 135 and Part 145 maintenance standards

  • Assist with onboarding and preparing new aircraft for certificate approval

  • Step in where needed—no “that’s not my job” mentality

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years aircraft maintenance experience

  • A&P / IA (preferred)
  • King Air 350 experience preferred

  • Strong turboprop background; piston experience as well

  • Experience with:

    • Heavy maintenance and inspections

    • Engine changes and hot sections

    • Rigging and systems troubleshooting

  • Part 145 experience required

  • Strong understanding of maintenance paperwork and work orders

  • Comfortable working in a single-engine operator environment

  • IA preferred (especially for floor lead responsibilities)

This role is ideal for a senior technician or floor lead who enjoys mentoring others—but does not want a management title.

Aircraft Exposure

  • King Air 350 (preferred), Pilatus, Air Commander, etc.

  • Piston aircraft

Compensation & Growth

  • Rapid compensation growth for strong performers (folks have expeinced 20–50% increases within the first year)

  • $20K–$30K invested in training and certifications in one person year one

  • Mid-cycle raises and fast advancement for high performers

Benefits & Culture

  • Full benefits package

  • Above-market pay

  • Extremely low voluntary turnover

  • Modern facilities and technology

  • Heavy investment in King Air training

  • Quarterly company-wide gatherings

  • Informal hangar culture (yes—beer after the steam whistle)

  • Team-oriented, respectful environment—no ego, no assholes

We hire people who are skilled, kind, and hungry to grow. Those who don’t fit culturally tend to self-select out.

Why This Role

  • Established King Air operation with aggressive fleet growth

  • Stable company with long-term vision

  • Opportunity to play a key role as senior talent retires over the next 3–5 years

  • Leadership that understands aviation operations and invests in people
