Role Overview

The Director of Landscape Architecture will lead and grow landscape architecture practice, driving business development while guiding design vision and project delivery. This role partners closely with clients, developers, and public agencies and provides the opportunity to shape a practice, mentor a team, and deliver impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development and client outreach efforts
  • Support marketing initiatives and proposal development
  • Oversee design and production for urban design, mixed-use, commercial, multi-family, and residential projects
  • Interpret zoning codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans
  • Analyze sites for development opportunities and constraints
  • Prepare due diligence studies, concept plans, and design documents
  • Guide and mentor landscape architects and interdisciplinary teams
  • Lead project meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure quality and consistency across plans, details, and specifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Professional landscape architecture licensure
  • 8+ years of experience in private and public sector projects
  • Proven success in business development and team leadership
  • Strong design, communication, and client relationship skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Deep technical knowledge of landscape architectural site development
