A well-established civil engineering firm is seeking an experienced Municipal Engineer to join its growing municipal infrastructure team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and support a wide range of public works projects that directly impact local communities.
Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects
Oversee project design efforts and provide technical guidance to engineering staff
Design improvements related to streets, utilities, drainage, and municipal systems
Perform street studies and evaluations for new and existing roadway systems
Apply traffic engineering principles to the design of signage, signals, and roadway features
Prepare and review technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
Maintain project databases and mapping systems
Provide field engineering support, conduct site visits, and make on-site recommendations
Participate in project meetings and support coordination with clients and internal teams
Perform additional duties as needed to support project success
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or close to obtaining
6+ years of experience in municipal engineering design and project delivery
Strong knowledge of water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure systems
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation, and OpenRoads
Familiarity with stormwater modeling software
