Associate Attorney – Bankruptcy Litigation – California

A highly regarded financial services law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in bankruptcy matters to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to work with a diverse client base and handle sophisticated, high-stakes matters in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent creditors in complex bankruptcy proceedings, including highly structured Chapter 11 business reorganizations
  • Support senior attorneys with case management, legal research, and strategy development
  • Draft, prepare, and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules of assets and liabilities, financial disclosures, motions, and related court filings
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to move cases forward efficiently

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters
  • Background in complex Chapter 11 reorganizations required
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle matters independently while working collaboratively with a team
