About the Opportunity:
A top-ranked Los Angeles litigation firm is hiring a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary with 3–5 years of experience supporting attorneys in high-stakes general litigation and employment defense. This role supports four litigation attorneys with a desk split 50/50 between employment and general defense matters. This is a hybrid-remote position unless the candidate prefers fully in-office.

Start fully in-office for 2–3 weeks (DTLA or Manhattan Beach office), then transition to hybrid remote (1 day/week in-office)

2 weeks of vacation, increasing to 3 weeks after 5 years
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file legal documents in California state and federal courts
Draft, edit, and format pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Create tables of contents and authorities for legal filings
Maintain litigation calendar using docketing software
Coordinate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
What You Bring:
3–5 years of litigation experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
Experience supporting busy attorneys in employment defense and/or general litigation
Familiarity with e-filing systems (state and federal) and litigation procedure
Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, and legal calendaring tools
Strong organizational and formatting skills, including table creation
