Truss Designer
A growing manufacturer of floor and roof trusses is seeking a skilled Truss Designer with extensive experience in multi-family and commercial truss design using MiTek software. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with sales, production, and quality teams on a variety of residential and light commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and light commercial projects
- Use MiTek software to generate layouts and 3D models
- Size and specify EWP and hanger connections as needed
- Coordinate closely with sales, production, and quality teams
- Manage RFIs and collaborate with external stakeholders to resolve design issues
- Maintain clean and organized digital files using file server navigation
- Ensure accurate, code-compliant, and efficient truss layouts
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, teammates, and management
- Provide technical support for customers and internal teams
- Work both independently and collaboratively to meet design deadlines
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of truss design experience
- Proficient with MiTek (required)
- Comfortable reading and interpreting construction documents
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- "Get-it-done" mindset with proven project delivery
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
- High school diploma or GED (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- CAD and architectural design background is a plus
- Degree from a 4-year accredited university (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Navigate stairs as needed
- Close and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus required
