Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Buffalo Area. As an ADON, you will support the Director of Nursing in the oversight and management of nursing services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and policy implementation.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, offering guidance and training as needed.
  • Ensure all nursing practices align with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and patient care standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate care and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of nursing protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
  • Monitor patient care outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Handle emergency situations as needed and ensure nursing staff are properly prepared.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and patient care standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility is preferred.
