A well‑established commercial structural concrete contractor in the Houston market is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead operations, strategy, and organizational growth. This role is designed for an accomplished executive with deep experience running a concrete construction company or a major division — and who is ready to step into a President‑level role as part of a planned leadership succession.

About the Role

The Senior Vice President will oversee all operational, financial, and project‑delivery functions across the organization. This leader will shape company culture, drive performance, and position the business for long‑term success. The selected candidate will be groomed for advancement into the President role, assuming full executive responsibility as part of a structured transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership across operations, project management, field execution, and corporate functions.

  • Oversee structural concrete projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and profitability.

  • Lead and mentor project managers, superintendents, and field teams to maintain high performance and accountability.

  • Strengthen client relationships and represent the company within the commercial construction community.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, operational systems, and scalable processes.

  • Collaborate with ownership on long‑term strategy, market positioning, and organizational growth.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including those aligned with ACI, TCA, and ASCC.

  • Manage P&L, forecasting, resource planning, and executive‑level decision‑making.

  • Prepare to assume full company leadership as President within a defined succession timeline.

Ideal Background

  • Senior‑level leadership experience within a commercial structural concrete contractor.

  • Proven success running a similar company, division, or large‑scale concrete operation.

  • Strong technical understanding of structural concrete, formwork systems, foundations, tilt‑wall, and multi‑story concrete structures.

  • Established presence or involvement in ACI, TCA, and/or ASCC.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage complex project portfolios, and drive operational excellence.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, margins, and company‑level performance.

  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills.

Why This Opportunity

This is a rare executive‑level opening for a leader who wants to make a significant impact on a growing concrete contractor with a strong reputation and a solid backlog.
The role offers:

  • Executive authority from day one

  • A clear, intentional succession path to President

  • The ability to shape the company’s future direction

  • Long‑term stability and influence in a strong Texas market
