Bridge Superintendent – Heavy Civil / Highway Construction
We are seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to oversee multiple bridge and highway construction projects across the region. This role requires strong field leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage crews and operations across various job sites. Some overnight travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field operations on multiple bridge and highway projects
- Manage crews, subcontractors, and site logistics
- Coordinate scheduling, manpower, equipment, and materials
- Ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget
- Lead work involving cofferdams, piling, and structural bridge components
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Communicate with Project Managers, engineers, and inspectors
- Conduct site visits across active projects and provide leadership support
- Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture
Qualifications:
- 5–10+ years of experience in bridge/heavy civil construction
- Strong background in highway and bridge work (marine, steel, and structural)
- Experience with cofferdams, piling, and foundation systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously
- Knowledge of DOT and public infrastructure projects preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays
