Mechanical Construction Project Manager

 

A rapidly growing, employee-owned mechanical contractor is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. This organization operates nationwide across data centers, healthcare, industrial, and large-scale commercial projects—with mechanical scopes reaching into the hundreds of millions.

 

Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for leading mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires strong leadership, financial oversight, scheduling expertise, and coordination with internal colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical construction projects from start to finish
  • Handle submittals, RFIs, change orders, and billing
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and clients
  • Support estimating efforts (design-build, design-assist, plan/spec)
  • Oversee fabrication packages and project budgets
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards are met

Qualifications

  • 0–5 years of experience in mechanical project management
  • Background in HVAC, piping, or mechanical systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with tools like Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project/P6 (preferred)
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related (or equivalent experience)
