Job Title: Land Use Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected legal team is seeking a Land Use Associate Attorney to join their growing practice in Portland. The ideal candidate will have experience in land use law and a strong interest in working on complex development projects for residential and commercial real estate clients across Oregon and Washington.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate development agreements, zone changes, and plan amendments
Provide legal counsel on land use, zoning, and permitting issues
Represent clients in land use hearings and court proceedings
Collaborate with developers, builders, and municipal agencies
Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality written work
Qualifications:
2–6 years of experience in land use law
Strong writing, communication, and advocacy skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume caseload
Confidence working directly with clients and participating in public proceedings
Bonus: Background in environmental permitting, real estate transactions, or a related field (e.g., urban planning, civil engineering, construction)
Licensing Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice law in Oregon or Washington
Dual licensure is a plus
