Project Accountant – Construction

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join a growing construction company. This role is responsible for managing project financials, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting project teams from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project budgets, job cost tracking, and financial reporting
• Process billing, pay applications, and accounts receivable
• Review and track project costs, commitments, and change orders
• Support month-end close and maintain accurate financial records
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting standards
• Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor financial performance
• Assist with audits and financial analysis as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of construction accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Experience with job cost accounting and WIP reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
