Burn Table Operator – 2nd Shift

Key Responsibilities:

As a Burn Table Operator, you will play a critical role in our production process. Your duties will include:

  • Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times
  • Setting up and burning with fuel gas bevel cutting tips
  • Performing burns on structural shapes and 3D parts
  • Setting up and executing oxygen piercing and CNC programs
  • Operating and adjusting fuel gas and plasma cutting functions
  • Calculating correct speeds based on material types, tools, and thickness
  • Minimizing dross buildup and part welding through setup adjustments
  • Verifying part quantity and cut quality
  • Performing 1st piece and random inspections using shop order packets
  • Using measuring instruments and drawings to check work accuracy
  • Managing quality documentation as per customer requirements
  • Being proactive: ask questions, take notes, and suggest improvements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating a Burn Table
  • Strong understanding of basic math and measuring techniques
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate overhead cranes, forklifts, or stand-up lifts as needed
  • Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
