Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Our client is a leading general contractor based in the Atlanta area, delivering high-quality commercial construction projects across the Southeast. Their portfolio includes ground-up commercial project across many market sectors. They pride themselves on a collaborative culture, client-focused service, and a commitment to safety and excellence in the field.

They are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction, managing the schedule, budget, subcontractors, and project team to ensure successful delivery. You will serve as the primary liaison between ownership, design teams, field operations, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of project management from buyout to turnover
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost reports
• Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors
• Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure timely and quality field performance
• Monitor project milestones, proactively identify issues, and resolve conflicts
• Ensure compliance with plans, specs, safety standards, and permitting requirements
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and close-out documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
• Experience managing ground-up and/or major interior buildouts preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and budgeting
• Proven leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
